I know I would love to see his smile again. When David was alive, he was so full of life and energy. I am just so sorry his life took a turn for the worse and he had to make the decision to stop living. I know David knew what he was doing when he made that choice.
please keep this posting updated, I would like to know when and/or if a documentary will ever be publlished.
DRSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7476621888383604834.post-43073979399018911452010-05-16T10:37:15.432-04:002010-05-16T10:37:15.432-04:00Hello DeAnne -

I hope you can get to see it. The final shot, showing David's warm smile as he encourages us to "remember to eat lots of ice cream and cookies," will make you cry. It had that effect on people who never met David! He had continued to teach us after his death, as had been his wish.

I'm going to pass on your note to Dr. Martinez, in hope that a further documentary can be made.

Best

JimJim Sabinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03087828142188534542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7476621888383604834.post-80791198516811153662010-05-15T21:11:09.855-04:002010-05-15T21:11:09.855-04:00I personally knew David, I tore me up to know that...I personally knew David, I tore me up to know that he passed, and after speaking with his father, I went on for some time (until now) of not knowing how or why he died. David, (also known as Anthony), was a caring and giving person, however sometimes misunderstood, he tried to do for others and had what you can call a sad life, he was dealt some pretty hard times, from youth to adult; he was always searching for love and always searching for a family. I am sorry he never found that in life, I hope that the idea to one day establish a documentary will happen so that he can finally be heard. Thank you for showing the world his story. I encouraged Rick Martinez to see if Mr. Drummond's family was interested in having a film made from the videotaped interview with him, perhaps combined with interviews of others who were part of the process. I thought a superb documentary could be created, which would carry further Mr. Drummond's wish to be a teacher.

Best

JimJim Sabinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03087828142188534542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7476621888383604834.post-15013108419768276492008-04-24T08:48:00.000-04:002008-04-24T08:48:00.000-04:00I was both engaged and moved by this blog. Moved by the patient's personality as seen through multiple levels of narration.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
